Solace (Movie Review)
WHAT’S THE NAME OF THE MOVIE?
WHO DIRECTED THE MOVIE?
WHAT’S THE GENRE OF THIS MOVIE?
Intense Psychological thriller
WHO CAN WATCH THAT MOVIE?
It’s for an advised audience that are already initiated to the mystery genres sprinkled with religious dogma; mingled with red sauce and a little dose of intense peculiar sex scene—so this movie is not intended for children under the age of 18.
WHERE AND WITH WHOM TO WATCH IT?
With your other half if you want or even alone, and if possible at sunset for at this time all the beasts of our mind love to play tricks in the void of the night while tickling our senses. but it’s more fun with a partner as there are so many matters of discussions that may arise while watching this movie, just imagine that you and your partner are sitting on a sofa— with a big plate of sweet popcorn and a big mug of hot chocolate with an extra of marshmallows added in it (I bet you can see that 🙂 and both of you discussing frenetically about the turning over of this great movie.
WHOSE PERFORMANCE HAVE YOU LOVED THE MOST?
I have loved every one of them, from the protagonist characters to the main antagonist of the movie, all of the characters in this movie have their unique personal abilities to keep you stuck to the setting of the movie.
THE MOVIE SOLACE FROM YOUR OWN PERSPECTIVE POINT OF VIEW.
In this movie, we have the great Anthony Hopkins (the sexiest serial killer of all time through the character Hannibal Lecter) who plays the role of a psychic doctor (medium) with a troubled past linked to the death of his only child, he is asked by his friend to collaborate with the FBI on some intriguing crimes that have been perpetrated through some enigmatic symbolic methods.
We are in an atmosphere that is in total accordance with the theme of the movie, I was captivated with the beautiful artistic set up for the backgrounds of the crime scenes—here am talking about that woman in a bathtub, the optical illusion that was conferred to that scene was brilliant.
There was even a momentum in the issue of the movie where I had the impression that Anthony Hopkins was the investigator of these crimes—well!
It’s the clash between two beings that are innate with the same powerful instincts where one of these two has chosen the path of a sort of angel of death that kills with humanity so as to put an end to sufferings.
Though Solace has not received a good average rating from the audience score, to me it was a splendid movie which arouses many questions in the head of the viewer, and finally, we are left with this intriguing question: ‘How far are we ready to go to save the ones that we really love.’
